'ABEL RAISES CAIN' has been selected to travel on the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers! Jenny Abel will accompany the film to ten different cities. South Arts (formerly the Southern Arts Federation) created the tour to provide an interactive opportunity for audience members to connect with filmmakers and engage in a dialogue about the films and their meanings.

The 2010-2011 Southern Circuit is a program of South Arts. The screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and local partner organizations. Special support for Southern Circuit was provided by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Abel Raises Cain on Russian TV

ABEL RAISES CAIN has been sold to TV-Rain Optimistic channel, a new channel on the Russian media-market that favors documentaries about people who are changing our world today and portraits of interesting people. Alan Abel's story is literally making its way around the globe as the film's audience continues to grow!

Super Channel Canada has announced the broadcast dates for ABEL RAISES CAIN! The film will be premiered on October 6th, 2009 as part of the Shock Docs series...'edgy documentaries on topics you never knew existed, from taboo to unbelievable to bizarre.'

ABEL RAISES CAIN on Amazon VOD

Unedited and commercial-free, ABEL RAISES CAIN is slated to air on Super Channel in Canada later this year. Films We Like closed the exclusive deal and this will be the documentary's premiere Canadian TV broadcast.

In the US, Amazon Video-on-Demand spotlighted the film this past week through a major PR effort initiated by Indieflix. Rentals were at an all-time high with ABEL RAISES CAIN ranking in the top 100 VOD titles and # 13 in Independent Film.

The filmmakers will work in conjunction with Indieflix to distribute ABEL RAISES CAIN to Colleges, Universities and Libraries across the United States.

Israel's leading Documentary channel, NOGA Channel 8, has acquired ABEL RAISES CAIN for broadcast. Channel 8 is an award-winning cable network with a mission to voice unconventional perspectives from around the world.

Toronto-based distribution company, FilmsWeLike, released 'Abel Raises Cain' on DVD throughout CANADA this week. A Canadian broadcast deal is currently in the works. ABEL RAISES CAIN broadcast premiere on LINK TV - link to program details

ABEL RAISES CAIN has been picked up for U.S. broadcast by Link TV. The popular documentary about legendary professional hoaxer Alan Abel has won awards at DokLeipzig, Slamdance and Hotdocs. Its broadcast premiere on Link TV is slated for November 16th, 2008 with additional air-times scheduled throughout the remainder of the month and into December. It will be airing as part of DOC-DEBUT, a series on Link TV highlighting unique and groundbreaking international documentary films.

Each week features the U.S. television premiere of a new doc, offering American audiences unprecedented perspectives on world events and culture, as seen through the eyes of individuals across the globe.
